Double Face Icelandic Sheepskin Blanket in Cognac
Double-Face Icelandic Sheepskin Blanket in Cognac
Two beautiful sides. One extraordinary blanket.
Meet a whole new level of luxury. Crafted from genuine double-face Icelandic sheepskin, our blankets bring together two irresistible textures: buttery-soft suede on one side and naturally warm, plush wool on the other.
Double-face sheepskins are among the most demanding to produce. Only approximately 50% of raw hides meet the strict quality requirements for double-face processing.Β
Each blanket is thoughtfully crafted from individual sheepskin squares, with the wool shorn to a uniform 0.5 inches (1.3 cm) and each piece meticulously stitched together.Β
The result? A blanket that feels every bit as extraordinary as it looks.
Unlike traditional sheepskin throws, our double-face blankets are remarkably lightweight, supple, and flexible. They drape beautifully over sofas and armchairs, add irresistible warmth to reading nooks, and bring an entirely new level of comfort to your bed.
And because we believe luxury should never be too small to share, we've created them in a generous twin size β 200 Γ 120 cm (approximately 79 Γ 47 inches).
Perfect for two to cuddle under, generously sized for full-body coverage for one, or beautifully displayed horizontally across a queen-size bed as a decorative accent.
Naturally insulating yet breathable, Icelandic sheepskin delivers a kind of warmth synthetic blankets simply cannot replicate. Comforting, temperature-regulating, and wonderfully soft, it's luxury created by nature, not manufactured from plastic.
Beautiful enough to show off. Comfortable enough to never put down.

Shake and/or vacuum occasionally to remove dust and debris. In the event of a spill or stain, mix wool-specific detergent with warm water to produce foam. Using foam only (never soak or submerge sheepskin in water β it will harden the back suede), work the foam over the affected area and pat dry with a clean cloth. Shake and leave to dry, finish with a combing.

The story behind BSWL
Founded in 2011 by Canadian architect Black Sheep (White Light) was a pioneer in bringing premium Icelandic sheepskins to North America.
What started with Icelandic sheepskins has grown into a carefully curated collection of some of the world's most beautiful natural hides.
In 2023, Black Sheep (White Light) entered a new chapter.
Drawn to individuality we embraced the opportunity to continue the journey and build upon the foundation that had already been created.
We have introduced rare and remarkable breeds such as Gotland and Welsh sheepskins, our distinctive MΓ©lange Collection, cowhides and our ever-evolving One-of-a-Kind Collectionβthe heart of what we do.
More than dΓ©cor, our collections are stories of heritage, craftsmanship, and nature's artistry.
