White Sami Reindeer Hide

Due to the hollow nature of the hairs, reindeer hides are best kept in low-traffic areas to prevent excessive shedding.

The hollow hairs are excellent at retaining heat, but they can also be damaged if placed too close to radiators, fires, or areas with underfloor heating. Excessive heat can dry out these insulating hairs and lead to shedding.

Please note that some shedding will always occur, as it’s a natural process for the reindeer.

We do recommend keeping the hide in a protected area and avoiding direct heat sources to prolong its beauty and integrity. We also suggest to use reindeer hide more as a decorative object vs functional. Occasional sitting is completely fine, but every day will shorten the hide's life.

In the event of a spill or stain, mix wool-specific detergent with warm water to produce foam. Using foam only (never soak or submerge hide in water – it will harden the back suede), work the foam over the affected area and pat dry with a clean cloth. Shake and leave to dry, finish with a combing.

Alternately, item can be dry cleaned.

For hygienic reasons, we cannot accept returns on items that have been used or handled in personal spaces, and to ensure every customer receives a product in pristine condition, all sales are final.

Based on past experiences, where some clients have used sheepskins for events, photo sessions, and other short-term occasions, we’ve found it challenging to determine whether decor items have been used upon return. To ensure the integrity and quality of our products for every customer, all sales are final.

We understand how important it is to match the color of your sheepskin to your interior design and are happy to work with each client on an individual basis to find the perfect fit - please do not hesitate to reach out with your questions before the purchase! 

We will accept exchanges should you have received the wrong item or a damaged article.

Another reason why our return policy is on hold are incredibly high costs we're inflicted with to clear returns across the Canadian border: all major carriers charge a fee to process our packages back across the Canadian border. For instance, UPS' 'Entry Prep Fee' is a minimum of $35 per order, irrespective of item value, we also have to pay Customs Duties and taxes on our own return - as a small business, we simply can't absorb these fees.

Note that all fees associated with the return as assessed and invoiced by the carrier will be deducted from your refund. Please note that any original shipping charges (if applicable) are non-refundable. A 20% administration and restocking fee will apply to all returns. This fee is used to offset the carbon footprint generated with the return and for the responsible disposal of the products. This fee will be automatically deducted from the reimbursement. Processing time of the return is subject to our receipt of the import fee invoice being provided by the carrier.

The import of reindeer hides is regulated by the US Fish & Wildlife Service. Any wildlife not of North American origin requires a Designated Port Exception Permit (DPEP) for clearance if entering the USA at a non-designated port.

We are committed to ensuring the seamless delivery of your hide and will always ship your reindeer hide via 3-day air service with UPS (so in enters USA at Designated Port and our customers don't need any additional paperwork).

Due to the higher shipping costs associated with this premium service, we are unable to offer free shipping for reindeer hides.
